In the early 1990s, BC Rail set out to revitalize their rolling stock fleet to better serve this essential industry. These Plate E cars were painted dark green with the stylized BC Rail lettering. The design featured a combo door setup with a sliding door and plug door for a 16’ opening and a 6637 cubic foot interior space. The length was 60 feet, 9 inches (interior) and 66 feet, 3 inches (exterior).
