Description

This freelance boxcar just looks classy in Box Car Red with the unique, stylized CLE Logo!  Adopted by Ed Lewis and Hank Stephens, the Cincinnati and Lake Erie is a freelance railroad that has been around for awhile and yet has a great future ahead.

Marked “BRO” these cars are assigned to the Ford Brownstone plant.  We expect these cars will fit right in on a train of both prototype and freelance auto parts boxcars!

Sporting a 7-78 Built Date, this car represents an order of Auto Parts Box Cars delivered by Greenville in 1978 in the series CLE 675000 through CLE 675499.

This car was produced exclusively for Home Shops by Tangent Scale Models as part of their January 2023 release.  The 1977-1978 Greenville Steel Car Company car body is the prototype offered in this run, so all cars will have a Built Date within that range.  The most notable feature of this production range is five grab irons on each side–previous designs only had four.

As with all Tangent cars you will find them laden with many fine details and extremely crisp paint edges.  Be sure to take out the magnifying glass and read the unique trust stenciling!  Metal wheels, scale metal Kadee couplers, and rotating journal endcaps are standard on all cars in this release.
