Shipping policy
We're committed to getting your order to you as quickly and safely as possible. We know you're excited to receive your order, and we work hard to process and ship every package with care.
The information below explains how we process and ship orders placed through Denver Model Trains.
Orders of $150 or more qualify for free economy shipping within the United States, subject to our current shipping promotions and exclusions. Expedited shipping options are also available during checkout for customers who need their order sooner.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed and shipped within 1–3 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. During periods of unusually high order volume, processing times may be slightly longer.
Shipping Method and Tracking
To provide the best combination of value, reliability, and delivery speed, orders are shipped using the carrier and service we believe best meets your needs. We primarily ship via USPS and UPS. If you have a preferred shipping carrier or service, you may choose an alternative service during checkout or contact us if you do not see an option that works for you. Additional shipping charges may apply.
Once your order is processed, you will receive a tracking number by email.
Cancellations
Because we begin processing orders quickly, cancellation requests cannot be guaranteed. If you need to make a change or cancel an order, please contact us immediately. If your order has not yet entered the shipping process, we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
Delayed Orders
If we experience a processing delay, customers will have the option to cancel their order for a full refund. Once a shipment has been accepted by the carrier, delivery times are outside of our control. If you experience a shipping delay, we're happy to help you work with the carrier to locate your package or determine its status.
Damaged Orders
We carefully package every order to help ensure it arrives safely. If your shipment arrives damaged or appears to have been lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll work with you and the shipping carrier to help resolve the issue as quickly as we can. We also recommend purchasing optional shipping protection for added peace of mind.
Pre-Orders
Items purchased as pre-orders will ship when they become available from the manufacturer or distributor. If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, your shipment may be held until all items are available unless separate shipping arrangements are made. Estimated arrival dates are provided by manufacturers and distributors and are subject to change without notice. Please refer to our Pre-Order Policy for additional information.
