Product Overview

The EMD SD70ACu is a modern rebuild of the SD90MAC, transforming a powerful but specialized 1990s locomotive platform into a more practical and updated six-axle diesel for contemporary railroad service. Norfolk Southern began converting SD90MACs into SD70ACUs in 2016, replacing key systems and installing a cab based on the SD70ACe design. Canadian Pacific later rebuilt its own SD90MAC fleet through Progress Rail, creating a distinctive group of SD70ACu locomotives delivered in 2019.

CP 7020 is part of Canadian Pacific’s military tribute fleet and wears a NATO green paint scheme inspired by standard camouflage used on Canadian and U.S. military vehicles in temperate regions.
