Product Overview
Clean track is essential for dependable model railroad operation, but keeping rails free of dirt and residue can be one of the less enjoyable parts of the hobby. The Meister Modelworks Cleaning Car 5000 offers a convenient way to make track cleaning part of your regular operating routine.
Designed for HO scale layouts, the Cleaning Car 5000 removes residue from the top surface of the rails as it travels around your railroad. It can be pushed or pulled by a locomotive and requires no additional weight or pressure to operate. Its reusable cloth system provides multiple cleaning surfaces, helping you get more use from each cloth before replacement.
How the Cleaning Car 5000 Works
The Cleaning Car 5000 can be used on any HO-scale model railroad layout to remove residue from the top side of the track. It can be pulled or pushed along by locomotive power and requires no additional weight or pressure to operate.
The cloth can be used dry or with your preferred track cleaning solution. As each side becomes dirty, simply rotate the blocks to a new, clean side.
Once all four sides have been used, the cloth can be turned inside-out and used again. This practical design helps extend the useful life of the cleaning cloths while making routine maintenance simple.

Why We Love This Product
What makes the Cleaning Car 5000 especially appealing is how easily it fits into normal model railroad operation. Instead of relying entirely on manual track cleaning, you can let a locomotive move the car around your layout while the cleaning blocks work against the railheads. We also appreciate the thoughtful reusable cloth design, which allows multiple cleaning passes before a fresh cloth is needed. It's a practical, American-made solution to a maintenance task every HO scale model railroader encounters.
