Based on cars built for handling home appliances, these high-cube cars hauled refrigerators, washing machines and more from coast to coast. their size allowed the machines to be stacked and maximized the number that could be carried per car. They first hit the rails in the late 1960s and remained in service into the mid 80s, although a few are still in work train service.
Like other Micro-Trains cars, this car features a detailed body with exquisite painting and printing, a metal underframe loaded with detail, separate ladder details and Micro-Trains trucks with Magne-Matic couplers. This model comes equiped with standard wheelsets, but also includes low-profile wheelsets for operation on Code 55 track.
