Rapido HO Scale CF7 #1511

DC/Silent • Farlin Terminal • Home Shops Exclusive

Add rebuilt EMD character and unique shortline style to your HO scale fleet with Rapido’s CF7 in the distinctive Farlin Terminal scheme.

Product Overview

Rapido’s HO scale CF7 captures one of railroading’s most recognizable rebuild programs with outstanding detail, prototype-specific variations, and smooth operating performance. This Farlin Terminal #1511 Home Shops Exclusive represents the square cab version of the CF7 and is offered in a DC/Silent configuration for modelers who prefer conventional DC operation or custom decoder installations. Featuring etched details, multiple body variations, separately applied grabs and handrails, detailed underbody piping, Cannon & Company licensed radiator fans, and a heavy die-cast chassis, this CF7 combines rugged rebuilt appearance with premium HO scale craftsmanship.

The Amazing CF7 Locomotive

The CF7 originated as part of Santa Fe’s major rebuild initiative to extend the life of aging F-unit locomotives by transforming them into practical road-switchers. The result was a locomotive unlike anything else on the rails — combining EMD cab-unit heritage with a functional switcher-style body that became instantly recognizable.

Many CF7 locomotives later found second careers on shortlines and regional railroads where their reliability and compact proportions made them especially useful. This Farlin Terminal version reflects that independent railroad spirit perfectly, pairing the unmistakable CF7 profile with a bold and memorable exclusive paint scheme designed to stand out on modern-era layouts.
