We’re incredibly excited to introduce something truly special  — a custom locomotive honoring the Splitrock Mining Co.!

Many of you know Tom, better known in the hobby as “Splitrock.” Splitrock, a great person and friend to all he meets, not to mention an NMRA Master Model Railroader, has built a truly phenomenal layout and has spent years inspiring fellow modelers with his craftsmanship, creativity, and passion for the hobby.

Splitrock’s layout has become legendary among those who have had the chance to see it. His attention to detail, storytelling, and modeling skill represent the very best of what makes this hobby so special.

To celebrate Splitrock and his incredible layout, we’re thrilled to offer this Rapido MLW RS-23 locomotive decorated for the Splitrock Mining Co. Railroad. This beautifully produced model is available in two road numbers and offered in both DC/Silent and DC/DCC/Sound versions.

This locomotive isn’t just another release — it’s a tribute to a great model railroader.
